Rich Kovach, an Ohio State police officer, submitted that he used a Taser 7 times over the course of arresting Heidi Gill, 38, twice after Gill was handcuffed. Gill was arrested after Kovach found her at a bar, refused to give her name and fled.
A police video shows Gill screaming and flailing while being Tasered, striking her head on a car bumper, kicking out Kovachs patrol car window and being Tasered in the car.
"I deployed a second Taser cartridge into her, and the violent turbulent act stopped immediately." his report stated.
Alright redstain... you want to see an example of unnecessary force, here you are. Granted, she was only on camera in front of the vehicle patrol cars camera, but he doesn't try to restrain her any other way. I'd only have called it justified after she kicked out his car window, but unfortunately there weren't more YouTubers there.
It hurts to see this. Abus-.. corruption of power.
Does anyone remember the aborted social experiment where half of the test group were designated "Warders" and the other half "Prisoners"? Warders with the power began to arbitrarily "punish" the prisoners without any prompting.
This "officer" was given a weapon which has no 'lethal' implications and no clear code of conduct. And he's deployed it with one hand on his hip. The F*cker could have been smoking a cigarette, his nonchalance is so galling.
Tasers are only to be used when confronted with a weapon.
F*ck the "Serve and Protect". F*ck the "We have a hard job". F*ck the Hollywood imagery. F*ck the documentaries of police lives. F*ck the montages and billowing Flag smokescreen.
WE HAVE MILITIA IN UNIFORM. MILITIA WITH NO RESPECT OF THE PUBLIC.
because he is supposed to be a good guy! if he is such a coward that he cant risk restraining someone then why is he a Cop? it is not a normal job, if you take it you know there is risk involved, thus you should take the risk since you have said that you feel that the system is good and perfect your going to fight to enforce it. they dont act like that because they are soldiers of tyranny it is a simple as that. Rule with mercy, justice and compassion or dont rule at all.
Of course its a job with risks, thats why they use tasers. If you had option A. Get into a struggle with this woman and risk getting punched, kicked, scratched, bitten, spit on and getting your eyeball poked out etc or B. Taser her from a distance and not harm yourself. I think most people would taser the bitch.

The cop tasered this woman twice after she had already been handcuffed. How much of a risk did she pose then? What this cop did to the woman in terms of physical pain is more than being punched/kicked/scratched/bitten. He could have killed her, had she had a heart condition or some other illness, but the cop had no idea if she had any such condition before he used the taser on her 7 times. If you watch the video, the cop is obviously not using the taser to subdue the woman. She is flailing on the ground screaming, but he continues to taser her over and over. He casually tells her repeatedly to put her hands behind her back, but as he is saying this over and over HE DOES NOT STOP TASERING HER! She says "okay" at one point and he continues to taser her!
a cnn report says the taser went off on its on "several" times.no really quote"several" times.ok quick review tasers kill ,they cause heart attacks by nature of the gun it keeps the brain from controlling the body.just like handcuffing cops gain control of you that makes them 100% responsible for you.
"The cop tasered this woman twice after she had already been handcuffed. How much of a risk did she pose then?"
What video were you watching? She was kicking out the car window!! and then he stunned her. If the stupid cow just sat down and done nothing then she wouldnt of got zapped.
Plain and simple she was a silly drunk who didnt think about her actions and got her ass handed to her and now shes winging about it.
"That's what she gets for acting like trailer trash and resisting arrest." What's that? The acting like trailer trash part? or Resisting arrest?
You can justify all you want. But it hit news because it was horrific. It is percieved by middle America, because it was horrific. And in the pit of your stomach you know it's wrong, because it was horrific.
I know some one you would sniff and say: "my friend isn't trailer trash". But suppose it was your family, sister someone close to you going hysterical, flopping round like a fish on dry land?
Sure they've peobably been an asshole. Did they deserve that? Just how much of a vindictive streak does it take to need to see a woman eat dirt, flailing behind the car bumper?
BUT: I am still completely with the cop on this one.
If the stupid cow wasn't such a moron she would have been ok. You get arrested and run so thats the first stupid thing she did. Then she resists arrest, that 2. Then she starts kicking out his window, 3.
I can't even be bothered counting the rest, but I would add at least one more for whatever crime led to the arrest!
So I am sorry but act like an animal, get treated like one.
I have total respect for most people, and am as polite as can be,, but as soon as someone becomes a criminal I would happily join in (If not lead) the lynch mob.
Anglo, I wouldn't treat an animal the way this woman was treated.
The officer could have restrained her easily whilst she was incapacitated following the first taser shot. To taser her seven times, twice after she was handcuffed, is unforgivable and an abuse of power. I suspect the portly officer was on some sort of power trip.
Yes, the woman was intoxicated and stupid but I'm tired of hearing the supporters of brutal police officers bleat 'But you don't know what they have to put up with'. Encountering difficult or abusive citizens is par for the course if you're a police officer. You cannot join the force and then complain that, to your surprise, people are badly behaved and you cannot control your impulse to teach them a lesson.
A professional officer is capable of mastering himself and using the MINIMUM FORCE NECESSARY, as is their remit.
Anyone incapable of such professionalism shouldn't be on the force.
